About Christopher

Christopher was bron by emergency C section 7 weeks early. He has a mild form of Cerebal Palsy called hemiplegia, also called a right-sided hemiparesis by his doctors. He has a left sided Plagiocephaly that though noted at 14 weeks, was left for us to find out about when he was 8 months old. His older brother, Michael has unresolver Brackycephaly so we know it doesnt go away! We decided to take christopher to the Leeds STARband clinic when he was 10months old, for him to be measured at 89% and a whopping 22mm Plagio. We collected his helmet on the 29th March 2005. September 4th 2005 we had our final scan with a measurement of 13mm. A little disapointing, but he had a lot of colds and chest infections linked to his CP and spent as much time in the helmet as out! I am glad we made the decision to go ahead with helmet therapy, and looking back it was the correct decision.
